The Vice President of Academic Affairs manages and directs the areas of the College relating to curriculum transformational programs of study and course development of the academic divisions and the delivery of instruction. This is an academic leader who promotes innovation, accountability and excellence in teaching and learning with a belief in providing best practice and industry driven instruction, appropriate resources and continued faculty development to assist our students in achieving lifelong higher education goals.

Wage / Salary: 160,000

Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. Degree in a related area, such as administration, education, supervision, or curriculum development
  • Five or more years of experience as an educational leader in higher education setting
  • Knowledge with all modalities of course deliveries, instructional cutting-edge technologies, and leading industry learning management systems
  • Extensive in curriculum development, classroom management, and faculty development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff, and encourage their professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student body, staff and community
  • Vision and proven leadership and understanding of the issues facing community college in today’s evolving higher education landscape
  • Ability to plan creatively and develop long term strategies to address long term opportunities and/or challenges
  • Ability to lead student learning outcomes and assessment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of the traditional and non-traditional students and community we serve
  • Understanding of a broad spectrum of students, both traditional and non-traditional
  • Must be a team player administrator with excellent communication
