As a Shelter Specialist, you will provide essential support to individuals and families experiencing domestic violence and/or homelessness. In this role, you will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment, respond to individual needs, and provide confidential support using a trauma-informed approach. Wage / Salary: $16.25-$17.25
Duties / Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide a safe, clean, and supportive environment for shelter residents.
  • Maintain positive, supportive, and respectful relationships with all shelter residents.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address the needs of individuals served.
  • Stay informed about community resources to effectively connect individuals served to appropriate services and supports.
  • This position offers a variety of shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

 

Crosspoint Human Services offers comprehensive on the job 40 hour domestic violence training.

Days per week: Monday - Friday
Shift: 1st Shift2nd Shift3rd Shift
Qualifications:

Work experience in domestic violence, social services, human services or related field preferred.
Possess the temperament to work closely with individuals and families experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, and co-occurring disorders in a therapeutic milieu.
Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends.
