New Directions Treatment Center is licensed by Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS)/The Division of Behavioral Health & Recovery (DBHR) to provide outpatient substance use prevention and recovery services for adolescents and adults, and through an agreement with the Department of Children and Family Services- Family Advocacy Center (DCFS/FAC) we provide advocacy support services for parents and children outside of the formal child welfare system assisting in reunification and stabilization efforts.
New Directions is committed to service excellence in the delivery of all its programs. This new position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day development and implementation of all program and service delivery ensuring fiscal, administrative, program and clinical compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements. This new position works collaboratively with the CEO in promoting the mission, values, culture, goals and strategic plan of New Directions effectively; and help with leading the agency in a manner consistent with governing body regulations and guidelines.
This position is Full-Time, M-F 9:00AM-5:00PM; Evening Shifts (9:00AM-7:00PM) may be required 2 nights a week.
Detailed Responsibilities:
· Supports the CEO in the daily operations of the organization to ensure optimal delivery of program services for all individuals served by the Center
· Assists CEO and Accounting Manager with planning and implementing grant programs, preparing budgets, monitoring program expenditure, tracking results, and analyzing financial data, annual audit
· Assists with Board Support/Reporting including monthly meetings, by-laws, contracts, strategic planning
· Assists with serving as agency liaison with public agencies, private agencies, and governmental entities
· Assists with fundraising events including donor cultivation, prospect research
· Provides direction and guidance to program supervisors, meeting weekly for supervision
· Works with program supervisors in the development of goals and objectives specific to the program’s delivery and monitoring
· Assists in the monitoring, tracking, benchmark and outcome data to improve delivery of services and to establish overall effectiveness of programs
· Assist with ensuring compliance with all regulatory, legal, contractual and accreditation bodies related to programs
· Cultivates working relationships with community service agencies and funding entities.
· Informs the CEO of all material issues affecting the agency, acts as a spokesperson for the agency, and represents the Executive Director at assigned activities, meetings and community forums.
· Provides monthly report to the CEO that is reflective of each program’s activities in addition to other written reports that may be requested or required
· Analyzes current service delivery processes and recommend improvements
· Assists in the screening, recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, supervision and evaluation of all program service staff
· Assists with facilitating internal/external training and staff development for all program service staff
· Regularly reviews and recommends changes in program services ensuring adherence to the principles of good clinical and program practices · Oversees Utilization Review of program files and perform internal audits to maintain documentation of said compliance and enhanced delivery of services
· Assists in the annual review of program curriculum and makes recommendations for appropriate curriculum materials participate
· Other related duties as may be requested by the CEO or the Board of Directors
Experience/Education/Certification: Master’s in social work, psychology, or related field, preferred. IL-LCSW, LCP, LCSP preferred and/or CADC. DUI Training preferred/provided. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years post-graduate experience working with adolescents and adults with substance use disorders, and children and families involved in the child welfare system. Knowledge of Administrative Code Parts 2060/2090. Knowledge of ASAM Criteria for substance use disorders. Knowledge of family-based treatment and evidence-based interventions. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, strategic planning and execution, and change management. Skill in problem solving, analysis and reengineering operations and procedures. Experience in performing multiple tasks and working under deadline pressure. Experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing strategies and procedures. Experience in developing budgetary/financial plans and managing resources; analyzing and interpreting financial data; and identifying and securing funding / revenue sources. Knowledge of public relations principles / practices and communication techniques. Strong verbal and written communications skills including the ability to develop and deliver presentations to a wide variety of audiences and to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and community standing. Ability to relate comfortably with the populations served by the Center.
