The Assistant Food Service Manager provides support and leadership to the food service operations at DACC. The assistant manager is responsible for assisting the manager in the day to day operation of the on campus cafeteria, coffee shop, as well as on and off campus catering events.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Food and beverage service industry experience required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a food manager certification card.
General knowledge of restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets.
Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses.
Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
Must have ability to utilize Word, Excel, and point of sale software.
