The instructor will provide instruction in the appropriate field. Additionally, the instructor will assist with developing curriculum, syllabus, assessment and provide instructional materials and personal insight to provide students with the most optimum opportunity to learn a particular course of study.
This position is located at the Danville Correctional Center.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment or similar.
Proficient with operating machining equipment.
Competency in blueprint interpretation and GD&T methodologies.
Competency in technical math including trigonometry and application of machine shop formulas.
Experience using inspection tooling micrometers, calipers and other common hand tools.
Knowledge of advanced tooling and machining practices.
Knowledge of basic shop safety.
Knowledge of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Technology.
Knowledge of CNC Programming and CAD/CAM Systems.
Demonstrated ability to work with a widely diverse faculty, staff and student population; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
