Hoopeston “Cornjerker” Triathlon – This event is a Swim, Bike & Run Triathlon sponsored by the Hoopeston Area Sports Boosters.  Registration 6:45AM; by the pool at McFerren park, Events begin 7:30AM.  Cost is $40 individual & $75 Relay Team.  For additional information, Contact Scott Hudson at 217-497-9673.

Danville Farmers Market – The outdoor market is held on the Danville Public Library lawn & adjacent parking lot featuring locally grown produce, home-baked goods, & homemade gift items; 8AM-1PMLibrary activities include: An informational booth about Angels 4 Paws & a story time featuring crafts & stories; 9AM-1PM.  The main market season will run Wednesdays & Saturdays until October 15.

Sugar Shack Antiques is open Saturday & Sunday – (located at 9912 E 1980 N Rd – Oakwood/take I-74 to Oakwood exit 206 then proceed North 1 ½ miles) Sugar Shack Antiques is open the first weekend of the month from 9AM-5PM both days.  Sugar Shack Antiques offers one-of-a-kind antiques, old hunting, fishing, and western items, even antlers, hides, and horns.  You can purchase farm raised quality packaged meats from our very own KD Ranch-bison, elk, and Texas Longhorn beef.  Selections are seasonal but include: steaks, roasts, burger, brats, summer sausage, and even jerky.  Please call 217-260-9713 for more info.

Vermilion County War Museum New Hours – (307 N. Vermilion, Danville) New extended hours: Tuesday through Friday Noon–4PM; Saturday remains 10AM-4PM.  As a Blue Star Museum all active duty military & their families are admitted for Free, Memorial Day through Labor Day.

34th Annual Midwest Heritage Quilt Show at the Vermilion County Museum – (116 N. Gilbert, Danville) Museum hours are: Tuesday - Saturday 10AM-5PM.  Throughout the month of July visit the museum to view a juried show of quilted items.  Door fee for the show $3 adults; $1 children 13-17 years; 12 & under Free. 

Sleepy Creek Vineyard – (Located 3.5 miles south of Oakwood) Winery Open 10AM-8PM.

4th of July Celebration In Georgetown – (In the park near the Fairgrounds) Celebrating the 4th of July & the 2016 Balloons Over Vermilion event, a Hot Air Balloon will be set up & Ronald McDonald will visit from 6-8PMGates open at 12:30PM & Activities include an outdoor movie on the big screen, food vendors, bike helmet give-away, & Fireworks at Dusk.

Westville American Legion Annual Block Party - Food & beer tent open at Noon; Corn Hole Tournament 1PM (Sign ups at 12:30PM); Opening ceremony by Color Guard 1PM; National anthem by Bob Schifo; Crazy Johnny Band 2PM; Frozen T-shirt conest/prizes 6PM; Hillbilly Deluxe 7PM; 50/50 Raffle 8PM.

Open Roller Skating at Illini Skateland1-5PM; $6.50 + skate rental (Or 1-3PM or 3-5PM for $5.50 + skate rental).  Batting cages, Miniature golf, & Lazer tag also available.

The Little Lorraine Theater Presents “Kung Fu Panda 3” All Weekend – (324 E. Main, Hoopeston) Shows are: Friday 7PM; Saturday 4:30PM & 7:00PM; Sunday 2:00PM & 4:30PM.  Continuing his “legendary adventures of awesomeness”, Po must face 2 hugely epic, but different threats: one supernatural & the other a little closer to his home.  All movies are free will donation with all proceeds going to the Save the Lorraine Foundation.

4th of July Firework Celebration at Danville Boat Club – (15750 Boat Club Rd., Danville) Doors open at 5:30PM & Food will be served starting at 6PM in the Club house dining room.  $5 cover charge; children younger than 10 attend for Free.  Bring lawn chairs. Rain date is July 3.

Danville Dans VS LafayetteGame Time 6:30PM Military & Veterans Appreciation Night/Fireworks Night.  All active or reserve military, plus veterans receive free admission also Fireworks following the game.

Hayride at Forest Glen – (20301 E 900 North Rd., Westville) All are welcome to enjoy an evening hayride at beautiful Forest Glen; 7PM.  Cost is $1 per person & we will meet at the Staff Office parking lot.

Open Roller Skating at Illini Skateland7-11PM; $8.50 + skate rental.  Batting cages, Miniature golf, & Lazer tag also available.

Seniors Coffee Time at Danville Public Library – (319 N. Vermilion, Danville) 9:30-10:30AM Seniors 60+ are invited to join us on Fridays in the 1st floor meeting room for games, crafts, conversations & of course, coffee.
