Seniors Coffee Time at Danville Public Library – (319 N. Vermilion, Danville) 9:30-10:30AM Seniors 60+ are invited to join us on Fridays in the 1st floor meeting room for games, crafts, conversations & of course, coffee.

Sleepy Creek Vineyards – (Located 3.5 miles south of Oakwood) Winery open 10AM-8PM And, Wieners & Wine," 5-8PM every Friday from April to October.  Sleepy Creek will provide a fire, hot dogs & the fixings!  Bring your lawn chairs & additional food if you like, but alcoholic beverages must be purchased through the Vineyard.  We have beer, wine, variety of soft drinks, as well as, cheeses, crackers & other snacks.  Seating & service is first come, first served with no reservations.

Vermilion County War Museum New Hours – (307 N. Vermilion, Danville) New extended hours: Tuesday through Friday Noon–4PM; Saturday remains 10AM-4PM.  As a Blue Star Museum all active duty military & their families are admitted for Free, Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Family Fun Fair at Palace Park – (154 N. Vermilion, next to the Fischer Theatre) An evening of family fun including children’s games, prizes, dunk tank, raffles, giant slide, hula hoop toss, popcorn, nachos & hot dogs; 4-8PM.  Game & food tickets are 25¢ each or 5 for $1.  For more information, call 217-446-1217.

American Legion Post 210 Dinner – (201 Prospect Pl., Danville) Menu of Fish, Tilapia, Shrimp, Chicken, Hamburgers & Tenderloins from 5-8PM.  Public is invited!

Music at Kickapoo Landing – Music from 5:30-7:30PM.  Come listen to live music featuring “Riders of the Golden Maize”.  The Dockside Café offers you dining by the lake and features dinner specials every weekend.  For more information, call 217-446-8399.

Ambucs Friday Nights Concert – (Temple Plaza, 102 N. Vermilion St, Danville) Free live music featuring “Hillbilly Deluxe”; 6-10PM.  Food and drinks are available at the outdoor stage. 

The Little Lorraine Theater Presents “Angry Birds” All Weekend – (324 E. Main, Hoopeston) Shows are: Friday 7PM; Saturday 4:30PM & 7:00PM; Sunday 2:00PM & 4:30PM.  This animated adaptation of the hugely popular video-game series follows three avian friends as they put their anger to good use by fighting back against a hostile force.  All movies are a free will donation with all proceeds going to the Save the Lorraine Foundation.

Open Roller Skating at Illini Skateland7-10PM  Admission is $7.50 + skate rental; if applicable. Family Rate: Up to 6 persons for $35 (one adult must be present).  Batting cages, Miniature golf, & Lazer tag also available.

Danville Farmers Market – The outdoor market is held on the Danville Public Library lawn & adjacent parking lot featuring locally grown produce, home-baked goods, & homemade gift items; 8AM-1PM.  Library activities:  DHS Cheer; crafts & stories featuring Roald Dahl’s Esio Trot! 9AM-1PM.  The main market season will run Wednesdays & Saturdays until October 15.
