Middlefork Farmer’s Market in Potomac – (Gibson Area Hospital Parking Lot, Potomac) Held on the 2nd Saturday of each month, featuring locally made handcrafted items, food, farm products & seasonal produce; 8AM-Noon.  Booth space is $10 per month, Vendors can email MiddleforkSeedersandWeeders@gmail.com or visit Facebook.

Danville Farmers Market – The outdoor market is held on the Danville Public Library lawn & adjacent parking lot featuring locally grown produce, home-baked goods, & homemade gift items; 8AM-1PMLibrary activities include: Music, Todd Gallagher, piano; an informational booth about Oakwood High School band; crafts & stories featuring Roald Dahl’s The Witches; 9AM-1PM.  The main market season will run Wednesdays & Saturdays until October 15.

Spinner & Weavers Day at Forest Glen – (Gannett Center, 20301 E 900 North Rd, Westville) The public is invited to a Free program to watch demonstrations of spinning wool, weaving & other fiber arts & all area fiber artists are encouraged to join in; 10AM-4PM.  For more information, call weekdays 217-662-2142.

Vermilion County War Museum New Hours – (307 N. Vermilion, Danville) New extended hours: Tuesday through Friday Noon–4PM; Saturday remains 10AM-4PM.  As a Blue Star Museum all active duty military & their families are admitted for Free, Memorial Day through Labor Day.

34th Annual Midwest Heritage Quilt Show at the Vermilion County Museum – (116 N. Gilbert, Danville) Museum hours are: Tuesday - Saturday 10AM-5PM.  Throughout the month of July visit the museum to view a juried show of quilted items.  Door fee for the show $3 adults; $1 children 13-17 years; 12 & under are Free. 

Prairie Winds Flea Market at the Crow’s Nest – (17119 N. 600 E. Rd., Fithian – On Route 150 near Oakwood High School) Offering a wide variety of items ranging from jewelry, primitives, antiques, handmade items & repurposed goods; 10AM-5PM.  Food will also be available.

Fireworks Display at Gao Grotto – (2400 Denmark Rd., Danville) Gates Open at 2PM with Live Music from 2-8PM & Fireworks begin at Dusk.  Admission is $1 per person with food available for purchase.  All are welcome!

Smash Brothers Tournament at Game Stop – (4111 N. Vermilion, St #1, Danville) The Darkhorse Theatre Company will host this event to raise funds for its upcoming productions; 3PM.  Open to ages 13 & older with $10 Entry fee.  First, second & third place prizes will be awarded.

Newell Township Historical Society “Ice Cream Social” – (Bismarck-Henning High School Cafeteria) Adults $4 & Children $2.50; 4-7PM.  Proceeds will be used to restore the former bank as a museum.  For information, call 217-759-7517.

The Little Lorraine Theater Presents 1960’s “The Magnificent Seven” All Weekend – (324 E. Main, Hoopeston) Shows are: Friday 7PM; Saturday 4:30PM & 7:00PM; Sunday 2:00PM & 4:30PM.  A Mexican village is at the mercy of Calvera, the leader of a band of outlaws.  The townspeople, too afraid to fight for themselves, hire seven American gunslingers to free them from the bandit’s raids.  The professional gunmen train the villagers to defend themselves, then plan a trap for the evil Calvera.  All movies are free will donation with all proceeds going to the Save the Lorraine Foundation.

Senior’s Dance at Hoopeston Multi Agency – (206 S. First Ave., Hoopeston) 6:00-8:30PM  Music by Tex & the Tumbleweeds.  Bring a covered dish or snack to share.  $5 donation will be accepted.

DACC Annual Golf Outing at Turtle Run Golf Club – (332 E. Liberty Lane, Danville) Registration 11:00AM-12:30PM Shotgun start 1PM.  A buffet & awards will be held upon completion of golfing.
