Kennekuk Rail Trail River to Rail Bike Ride at Kennekuk - (22296-A Henning Rd, Danville) The ride will begin & end at the Hideaway Shelter; Registration begins at 7:00AM, Riders start at 7:30AM. Ride features at 62 mile, 50 mile, & 32 mile loop. Helmets are required & taillights are suggested. A lunch will be provided for all cyclists at the completion of the ride; 11AM. Hoopeston 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at John Greer Grade School - (609 W. Main St, Hoopeston) Participants will climb stairs to represent the 110 stories of the World Trade Center & the sacrifices made that day; 9AM. It is free to watch & encourage the participants.  

Saturday Morning Summer Sounds & Farmers Market at Danville Public Library - (319 N. Vermilion, Danville) Enjoy family-friendly activities, vendors & live music with Lacey Krabel & Logan Kirby; 9AM-1PM.

Book Sale at Westville Public Library - Friday & Saturday - (233 S. State St, Westville) Prices begin at 10¢, with nonfiction books or VHS tapes at $1 for 2 bags (bags will be provided), Vinyl records are 6 for $1, Cookbooks are $1 per bag. Friday 10:00AM-5:30PM, Saturday 10:00AM-1:00PM. Please follow the north sidewalk around to the building in the back of the library.

Red Mask Players Children’s Show “The Phantom Tollbooth” at the Kathryn Randolph Theater - All Weekend - (601 N. Vermilion St, Danville) Saturday & Sunday Matinees 2PM; Saturday 7PM. General Admission is $6. A fantasy-adventure tells the story of a bored child who receives a magic tollbooth.

Danville Boat Club End of Summer Party & River Cruise - (15750 Boat Club Rd, Danville) Reservations are required by calling 217-474-2076. Lake & River Cruises start at 4PM Sharp (no charge if you have a dinner reservation). Dinner begins at 5:30PM & features Salad, Fried or Grilled Chicken, Mashed potatoes, Vegetable, & Dessert.
