Shift Staff Job Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide confidential support to persons experiencing domestic violence and homelessness;
  • Staff on -site hotline and shelter floors;
  • Maintain knowledge of assessment and intake process and required paperwork;
  • Enter monthly service and program statistics into website as assigned by supervisor;
  • Maintain record keeping of persons served files;
  • Maintain general office organization including cleaning and copying forms;
  • Clean rooms as they are vacated by persons served.

Shift Staff Job Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED;
  • 40 hours domestic violence training;
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification;
  • Ability to apply knowledge, principles, and procedures to address domestic violence and homelessness needs;
  • Skills in working with resistant individuals and families;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism;
  • General computer skills and the knowledge and ability to operate the agency’s software;
  • Valid driver’s license and poof of automobile insurance.

This position is a swing shift; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday 12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. May require holidays.  $11.00/hour

Qualifications: 

Requires a high school diploma/GED

Prior work experience in domestic violence preferred.
