CANDIDATE PROFILE: The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and passionate about the well-being of the credit union and its members. This position requires frequent interaction with a variety of members, processing transactions (deposits, check cashing, etc.) and troubleshooting issues. Due to the large proportion of time spent in direct interaction with the members, it is critical that the candidate possess an upbeat attitude, and friendly and professional demeanor. Additionally, the field of banking/financial management is constantly changing, both in technology and regulation, and the best candidate will be willing and able to learn new and better ways to meet the members’ needs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Process member transactions accurately and in a timely fashion, including but not limited to cashing checks, making deposits, processing withdrawals, selling prepaid cards and teller/cashier checks, and answering member inquiries. • Manage cash drawer in a safe and secure manner, balancing the drawer for accuracy on a daily basis. • Answer telephones, sort mail, and process night deposits. • Comply with all regulatory and policy requirements, including but not limited to completing BSA paperwork, maintaining member confidentiality, and assessing fees where appropriate. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monitor the lobby keeping its appearance welcoming and professional – stock supplies, clean as necessary. • Completion of all required training and attendance at periodic staff meetings. • Other duties as assigned.


PREFERRED EDUCATION: • High-school diploma or equivalent (required). • College-level coursework in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, etc. is highly encouraged. HOURS: • Hours may vary from 8am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, and 8am to 1pm on Saturday. • This position would be scheduled an average of 28 hours per week, but this may increase or decrease on a weekly basis based on business needs.
