herapist Job Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete assessments that include an individual’s history, mental status, strengths, needs, abilities, preferences, and resources including recommendations for treatment.
  • Complete all specialized assessments, as needed.
  • Complete Treatment Agreements in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
  • Complete progress notes that include a description of service rendered, behavioral observations, a description of interventions employed, and future plan of action within 24 hours of the service provided.
  • Utilize appropriate evidence-informed practice consistent with treatment plan goals and objectives.

Therapist Job Requirements:

  • Requires a Master’s degree in counseling or a related field with the ability to be credentialed as a QMHP per State of Illinois, Rule 132, definition: A licensed social worker (LSW) possessing at least a master’s degree in social work and licensed under the Clinical Social Work and Social Work Practice Act [225 ILCS 20] with specialized training in mental health services or with at least 2 years experience in mental health services; A licensed professional counselor possessing at least a master’s degree and licensed under the Professional Counselor and Clinical Professional Counselor Licensing Act [225 ILCS 107] with specialized training in mental health services or with at least two years experience in mental health services; An individual possessing at least a master’s degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, or family therapy or related field, who has successfully completed a practicum or internship that included a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised direct service in a mental health setting, or who has one year of clinical experience under the supervision of a QMHP.
  • LSW/LPC or LCSW/LCPC preferred
  • Capable of working with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sound holistic client assessment skills is required and the ability to think and operate in a broad conceptual level as well as with detail.
  • Knowledge/skills in the area of individual and family functioning.
  • Skills in working with resistant individuals and families.
  • General computer skills and the knowledge and ability to operate the agency’s software.
  • Current driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Full time. MA/MS/MSW: $18.49/hour; LSW/LPC: $19.24/hour; LCSW/LCPC: $19.98/hour.
