SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Human Resources Assistant is an integral part of the Human Resources Team and will work closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure a variety of systems and processes are well-managed.

We are looking for an HR assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. The HR assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department. This is an entry level position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing resumes
  • Scheduling and coordinating interviews
  • Scheduling and coordinating drug testing
  • Weekly payroll coordination
  • Employee attendance reporting
  • Making phone calls
  • Performing general administrative work in support of the HR Department
  • Performing record keeping tasks
  • Employee event coordination
  • Maintaining employee files
  • Project coordination
  • Interoffice Mail distribution
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements of this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Human Resources experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Highly organized with motivation to learn new things
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while fielding many interruptions.
  • Good communication skills
  • Attendance is a priority
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

MACHINE, TOOLS AND EQUIPTMENT USED:

· Must be proficient with a variety of common office equipment including personal computer, printer, calculator, typewriter, copy machine, fax machine, postage machine and paper folder.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to: sit for long periods of time, walk, talk, hear and lift objects up to 15 pounds.

· Speak clearly so listeners can understand.

· Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.

· Must have clarity of vision of 20 inches or less. See difference between colors, shades, and brightness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour

 

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1-2 Years Administrative support experience.
  • 1-year Human Resources experience.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact and communicate appropriately and effectively with staff, managers, and insurance representatives, as necessary.
  • Knowledge and experience using a computer and a variety of software and applications.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while fielding many interruptions.
  • Basic math skills to solve problems.
