The ASSA ABLOY Group is the global leader in access and entrance solutions with plans to grow Horizontal Rolling Door manufacturing in Danville, IL.
Job Requirements:
Fabricate heavy-duty sliding door hardware components per customer design specifications. Includes welding with MIG, plasma and oxyacetylene torch. General fabricating skills.
Proficient with drill, lathe, grinder, thread, brake press, mill, set-up, clean-out, assembly.
Accurate machining and timely delivery of specialized orders.
Quality control and machine maintenance.
Process efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Proven fabricating / welding skills
Ability to read design prints (CAD) and understand tolerances, piece/assembly layouts
Timely and accurate delivery against daily production goals
Must have good communication and effective work management skills
Self-motivated, problem-solver capable of fabricating specialized orders
Team player participating in continuous improvement, quality and safety initiatives
Relevant experience in an manufacturing environment is preferred
Able to work 4 - 10 hour shfts and overtime as needed.
