Description: 

Responsible for applying Electrical Engineering principles for the design, manufacturing and service of OEM equipment while optimizing cost, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Leads equipment design using customer defined specifications
  • Develop all layouts, details and schematics for equipment design
  • Work with vendors and suppliers for component selection and integration into equipment design
  • Participate in the design of new machinery, customer interfaces, and custom controls
  • Define requirements for component specifications for panels builds and other electrical systems
  • Complete all necessary documentation for manual development, i.e., panel layouts, wiring diagrams, PLC programs, HMI programs, spare parts list defined, and vendor literature collected
  • Support the different areas in Manufacturing and Test/Service throughout the build process as needed
  • Support Sales as an information resource for RFQ's involving new technologies
  • Able to travel internationally
  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record
  • Participates in department meetings
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experiences required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience designing electrical panels/cabinets and PLC programming controls for custom built machinery
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and PLC programming using Allen Bradley, G.E., and Siemens
  • Familiar with high/low voltage, AC/DC electrical systems
  • Skills in technical writing and illustrations for manual development, marketing materials, and customer interface required
  • Generate and maintain engineering schedule for tasks; meet cost and schedule goals
  • Interface with Sales, Manufacturing Vendors and customers
  • High integrity and a solid work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player, always willing to help out and take the initiative to get things done
  • Ability to work independently and successfully represent the company.
