The Customer Service Representative provides support by responding to inquiries, processing documentation of freight delivery or shipment and interacting with customer and other service providers in a prompt, courteous and effective manner. This position works closely with the warehouse team and assists with other general office duties as needed.
Position Type: Full-Time
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm *schedule may vary based on client needs
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs general administrative duties including correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, and creating reports in Excel.• Assists in documenting goods received by scanning bar codes and forwarding the information to inventory control specialists to provide proof of delivery.• Expedites both full and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments for local and long distance including, Canada, and Mexico.• Enters inventory data into WMS system and specialized database program to provide accurate records of inventory.• Assists by creating shipments, scanning and printing bills of lading for outbound truck drivers.• Maintains filing process and systems.• Consistently in contact with customer.• Creates and runs ad hoc reports for Operations.• Other duties as assigned.
