Description: 

The Maintenance Group Leader reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for overseeing maintenance staff, delegating tasks appropriately, and ensuring plant maintenance issues are resolved.
Major Areas of Responsibility
 Managing and directing maintenance techs and team leaders
 Maintaining updates on plant maintenance work
 Ensuring maintenance issues are addressed
Specific Responsibilities of the Job
 Plan, distribute, and delegate tasks to maintenance Team Leaders and maintenance techs
 Provide plant maintenance update to production
 Walk through of plant floor to address maintenance issues
 Collaborate with electronic services group leader
 Plan and outline maintenance jobs, providing timeline
 Assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, updating and repairing malfunctioning plant equipment
 Assist in hiring process for all maintenance techs and team leads Analyze downtime reports on daily basis and coordinate improvement activities
 Analyze equipment downtime
 Work with Corrective Group to determine improvements, projects and other activities needed
 Maintains project schedule and priorities by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
 Other projects and assignments as specified
 Instruct and train in methods and procedures
 Other administrative supervisory tasks
 Other responsibilities and projects as specified

Qualifications: 

 Education/Credentials/Certifications/Length of Experience
• Associate’s Degree in related field with 5-7 years of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing experience as well as at least 3 years supervisory experience
Or
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 5 years of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing experience as well as at least 3 years supervisory experience
 Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
• Knowledge of machine controls and operation
• High level of mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Knowledge of fabrication
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal abilities
• Ability to convert metric to standard and basic mathematical ability
• Excellent reasoning and problem solving ability
• Ability to follow step-by-step instructions
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn functionality of new equipment and systems
• Ability to perform a variety of duties
