Danville Area Food Pantry “Frostbite Marathon” Friday & Saturday at 3 County Market Locations – Donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the Pepsi truck at the Towne Centre location & in collection barrels at Village Mall & Tilton locations; 8AM-6PM Both Days. County Market Stores have items with red tags to indicate items used at the Food Pantry every day. In addition, shoppers have the option of purchasing a bag for $5 each containing items used at the pantry.

Christmas Bake Sale at Rossville Bank – (111 N. Chicago St, Rossville) Beginning at 9AM

Coffee Time at Danville Public Library – (319 N. Vermilion, Danville) 9:30-10:30AM Seniors 60+ are invited to join us for games, crafts, conversations & of course, coffee.

Seniors Coffee Time at Oakwood Public Library – (110 E. Finley, Oakwood) 10AM

Sleepy Creek Vineyards – (Located 3.5 miles south of Oakwood) Winery Open 10AM-6PM.

Christmas Village Craft Fair at Harrison Park Clubhouse Friday & Saturday – (1300 W. Voorhees, Danville) Free admission to this craft fair featuring 30 craft vendors & homemade hot food; Friday 10AM-7PM; Saturday 9AM-3PM.

Fish Fry at Hoopeston’s North Fork Conservation Club – (4148 N 1700 E Rd, Hoopeston) Featuring Dine in or Carry out dinners with choice of Fish – wet or dry batter, Shrimp, Chicken strips, 2 Corn dogs, Tenderloins – breaded or grilled, Hamburger or Cheeseburger with 2 sides of French fries, Onion rings, Coleslaw, Baked beans, Mushrooms or Hush puppies; 11AM-7PM.  Cost is $8 + $2 Local Delivery (if needed).

“Find the Hidden Jewels of the Museum” Scavenger Hunt at the Vermilion County War Museum Tuesday – Saturday – (307 N. Vermilion, Danville) Search for treasures among the museum artifacts & every person with paid admission is welcome to participate. Fill out your list from the clues while you tour the museum & all correct answer sheets will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates for area businesses at the end of the month. Pictures with Santa at Danville Village Mall – (2917 N. Vermilion, Danville) Monday - Friday Noon-8PM; Saturday 11AM-8PM; Sunday 11AM-5PM

Dinner & Live Music at the Gao Grotto – (2400 Denmark Rd, Danville) Your choice of a Steak dinner $15 or a Pork Chop dinner $12 with Baked potato, salad & Texas toast; 5:30-7:30PM. Live music in the Reception Hall featuring the “Salt Fork Ramblers”; 7-9PM.

North Ridge Middle School Theatre Company Presents “The Secret Garden – Spring Version”  – (NRMS, 1619 N. Jackson, Danville) This is a 70-minute adaptation of the classic Broadway musical; Doors open at 6PM; Showtime 7PM. Tickets are $5 Students & Senior citizens, $10 Adults, Tickets available at the door.

Danville Dashers vs North Shore Knights at the Palmer Arena – (100 W. Main St, Danville) Game Time 7PM

Red Mask Players Present Miracle on 34th Street Thursday – Sunday – (601 N. Vermilion, Danville) A classic Christmas comedy/drama based on the motion picture. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15 per person. Performances are Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7PM; Sunday 2PM.

Danville Barbershop Chorus “Christmas Music Extravaganza” at St. James United Methodist Church – (504 N. Vermilion, Danville) Join the Danville Barbershop Chorus with special guests the Danville High School Madrigals; 7PM. Tickets are $10 Adults, $5 Kids K-12 & Free kids 5 & under. Proceeds benefit Fair Hope Ministry in Danville.

The Little Lorraine Theater Presents “The Nut Job 2, Nutty by Nature” All Weekend – (214 E. Main, Hoopeston) Shows are: Friday 7:00PM; Saturday 4:30PM & 7:00PM; Sunday 2:00PM & 4:30PM.  Following the events of the first film, Surly & his friends must stop Oakton City’s mayor from destroying their home to make way for a dysfunctional amusement park. All movies are a free will donation with all proceeds going to the Save the Lorraine Foundation.

Open Roller Skating at Illini Skateland – (8 Brewer Rd., Danville) 7-10PM  Admission is $7.50 + skate rental; if applicable. Family Rate: Up to 6 persons for $35 (one adult must be present).  Lazer tag also available.
