The Little Lorraine Theater Presents “The Secret Life of Pets” - All Weekend – (324 E. Main, Hoopeston) Shows are: Friday 7PM; Saturday 4:30PM & 7:00PM; Sunday 2:00PM & 4:30PM.  A doggy duo, Max & Duke, are rescued by a rebellious bunny named Snowball who demands they join his gang of abandoned pets on a mission against humans who have done them wrong.  All movies are a free will donation with all proceeds going to the Save the Lorraine Foundation.

Santa to Visit in Georgetown – (Town Square) Santa Claus will visit his special house on town square; 2-4PM.  Other Dates include: Dec.15, 22 & 23, 6-8PM.

Santa & Christmas Light Parade in Sidell – Bring the kids to town hall to visit Santa, receive a free photo, & goodie bag; 3:00-4:45PM.  The lighted float parade will begin at 5PM with free refreshments at town hall before and after the parade.

Christmas Carol Sing-Along at St. James UMC – (504 N. Vermilion, Danville) St. James United Methodist & Allen Chapel AME churches invite the community to join them in singing Christmas carols; 4PM.

Gospel Music at Hoopeston’s Chestnut Street Church of Christ – (709 E. Chestnut, Hoopeston) Featuring Joanie Cundiff; Supper 5PM, Sing along 5:45PM & Service 6PM.  All are welcome.

Holiday Lights at Kennekuk County Park – (22296-A Henning Rd., Danville) Holiday lights continue at the Bunker Hill Historic area nightly until December 31 from 5-8PM.

Live Nativity at Muncie Baptist Church – (205 Main St., Muncie) This Free community event invites you to drive through or come inside; 5-8PM.  You can dress up as a biblical character, enjoy dinner, children’s crafts, an inspirational film & the outdoor petting zoo.

First Church of the Nazarene Presents “Shepherds & Kings” All Weekend – (2212 N. Vermilion, Danville) A dramatic modern day Christmas musical; 7PM each evening.  Free tickets may be reserved by calling the church office 217-442-8316 or at www.danvillefirstnaz.com.

Cookie Walk & Christmas Bazaar at First Presbyterian Church – (100 N. Franklin, Danville) The Cookie Walk will give you the chance to fill a one pound box of homemade cookies of your choice for $8; 9AM-1PM.  There will also be breads, candy, caramel corn, cakes & other food treats to purchase & Christmas Gift baskets, new handmade crafts, nearly-new white elephant items, books, puzzles & other seasonal surprises.  All proceeds to the FPC Deacon’s Christmas food basket program.

Farmer’s Market & Friends Christmas Event at the Fischer Theatre – (158 N. Vermilion, Danville) Featuring the Farmer’s Market vendors, local authors, jewelry, unique clothing, & more; 9AM-2PM.  The Fischer Café will be open.

North Ridge Middle School Theatre Co. Presents “Elf Jr” Thursday – Saturday – (1619 N. Jackson, Danville) Come see Buddy & enjoy his adventures in this musical; Show Times are Thursday & Friday 7PM & Saturday 10AM.  Tickets are: K-8 Students $5, Adults $10 & will be sold at the door.  Doors open 1 hour prior to performance. 

“Skate with Santa” at Illini Skateland 11AM-1PM Admission is $5.50 + skate rental which includes a slice of pizza, small Pepsi, & a small treat from Santa.

2nd Annual Saturday at Sonny’s with Santa – (302 N. Gray St., Sidell)  Santa will arrive in the Sidell Fire truck at 11AM to visit with kids & take pictures; 11AM-1PM.  All kids eat Free with the purchase of an adult entrée during this time.  

Elf Hunt Part 2 In Hoopeston – (Simply Treasures, 216 S. Market St., Hoopeston) “Festive the Elf” is back & you are invited to join the hunt; 11AM-2PM.   Pick up a “Festive” form at any of the listed businesses: Simply Treasure’s, The Pink Poodle, Global Fashions, Mrs B’s, Country Financial, Computer Works & Better Living.  Locate “Festive the Elf” at each business, fill out & turn in completed form to Simply Treasures by 2PM to register for a drawing.   

Santa Paws for a CAUSE  at Vermilion County Animal Shelter – (14775 Catlin/Tilton Rd., Danville) Get your picture with Santa, bring presents for the animals, enter a drawing to win a Christmas Tree; 11AM-3PM.  Ticket donations are $1 each or 6 for $5.

Holiday Nut Sale at Danville Elks Lodge – (421 N. Vermilion, Danville) The Elks club will be selling a large selection of holiday nuts in 1lb. bags; Noon-4PM.  Please use the rear entrance.  Proceeds from this fund raiser go to support local, state, & national Elk charities, drug awareness, local youth programs & the Veteran’s Administration.  All are welcome!
