Oakwood Evangelical Methodist Church Breakfast – (Corner of NW Main St. and Seymour St. in Oakwood) The First Evangelical Methodist Church of Oakwood is having a breakfast to raise money for the church, 9AM-Noon.  They will be serving biscuits and gravy, egg casserole and muffins. Cost is by donation.

Vermilion County War Museum announces the opening of a new temporary exhibit, "Trench Art" - This exhibit will be featured in a new area of the museum.  Trench Art is any item crafted by a soldier or prisoner of war using bomb shells, bullet casings, and even wood or bone, in addition to traditional paintings and drawings. Although it began in the Napoleonic Wars, it became quite popular in World War 1, and continues to present day.  Today, trench art is divided into four categories: Items made by soldiers, items made by POWs, items made by civilians, and items produced commercially.  This exhibit runs through July 4th.  Museum hours are: Tuesday to Friday, Noon to 3PM; Saturday 10AM to 4PM.  Admission is $4 for adults, $2 under age 18, and free under age 6.  We are a Blue Star Museum, offering free admission to active duty military and their families, including National Guard and Reserves

“Spring 1865: A New Birth of Freedom” by “Ulysses S. Grant” at the Danville Public Library – (319 N. Vermilion St., Danville) Popular living history presenter, Larry Werline, will return as the famous General (and future President) Ulysses S. Grant. In this one-hour presentation at 1PM,  Werline will talk about his strategy as commander to bring the terrible war to a close and in the Union’s favor.

New Life Church of Faith presents “Incognito: The One-Man Journey Into Self-Discovery” – (1419 N. First Presbyterian Church presents the “King’s Choraliers” – (100 N. Franklin St., Danville) The King’s Choraliers Male Chorus was founded in 1950. The group features a repertoire of spirituals, anthem and hymns sung in a variety of styles ranging from classical to contemporary.  Benchmarks of the chorus are, and have always been, quality and variety.  The concert in Danville is part of their “Chicagoland Concert Tour” during the winter of 2015.  This is a free concert, but donations will be accepted for the King’s Choraliers Music Ministry Foundation.  Doors open at 6PM for a meet and greet with the Choraliers with the concert beginning at 7:30PM.

Main St., Danville) Show at 2PM.  After 20 years of un-wedded bliss, Georges and Albin, two men partnered for better or worse get a bit of both when Georges' son (fathered during a one-night fling) announces his impending marriage to the daughter of a bigoted, right-wing politician. Further complicating the situation is the "family business." Albin and Georges run a drag night club in St. Tropez, where Albin is the "star" performer. Geroges reluctantly agrees to masquerade as "normal" when he meets the family of the bride-to-be, but Albin has other plans, with hilarious results.
