Bingo at the VFW #728 – (8 Pine St., Danville) 2PM

The Little Lorraine Theater Presents “Angry Birds” All Weekend – (324 E. Main, Hoopeston) Shows are: Friday 7PM; Saturday 4:30PM & 7:00PM; Sunday 2:00PM & 4:30PM.  This animated adaptation of the hugely popular video-game series follows three avian friends as they put their anger to good use by fighting back against a hostile force.  All movies are a free will donation with all proceeds going to the Save the Lorraine Foundation.

Live Music on the Patio at Gao Grotto – (2400 Denmark Rd., Danville) Featuring “Hoosier Daddy” aka Mike Russell; 4-7PM.  All are welcome to our public events!

The Toe to Tow 5K at Tilton Ball Park – (301-313 Fairfield St., Tilton) 8:30AM All proceeds for the event will be donated to the Bobette Steely Hegeler Cancer Center at Presence USMC, Danville.  Registration is $25 which includes a race T-shirt, & a chance to win 1 of 8 RoadID gift cards.  To register, visit www.hookingupforcancer.weebly.com, in person at Tilton Village Hall, or Carnaghi Towing, 2000 Georgetown Road. 

Danville Farmers Market – The outdoor market is held on the Danville Public Library lawn & adjacent parking lot featuring locally grown produce, home-baked goods, & homemade gift items; 8AM-1PMLibrary activities:  North Ridge Middle School competitive cheer; Tempest Acting Studio monologue performances; August Osage County sneak peek; crafts & stories featuring Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox! 9AM-1PM.  The main market season will run Wednesdays & Saturdays until October 15.

Heart 4 Life & WOP Memorial Ride at Knights of Columbus – (310 Bryan Ave., Danville) This 10th Anniversary benefit fundraiser event provides assistance to families of children with special needs.  The 3rd annual WOP Memorial ride sign in is at 9AM with ride at 11AM.  The Heart 4 Life benefit begins at 3PM.  There will be food, raffles, silent & live auctions, bands, & food provided by Jewell Lucas. 

Vermilion County War Museum New Hours – (307 N. Vermilion, Danville) New extended hours: Tuesday through Friday Noon–4PM; Saturday remains 10AM-4PM.  As a Blue Star Museum all active duty military & their families are admitted for Free, Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Sleepy Creek Vineyard – (Located 3.5 miles south of Oakwood) Winery Open 10AM-8PM.

Ride for Homeless Vets at Catlin American Legion – (104 Commercial St., Catlin) This is a free will donation ride & meal with all proceeds going to homeless Vets.  Sign up 11AM, Ride 12:00PM, Meal 5:30PM, & Live Music with Vinyl Generation 7PM.  Cars are welcome to join in the ride.

March for Jesus – The march will begin at Noon at the Vermilion County courthouse, 7 N. Vermilion & end at Lincoln Park, where a prayer rally will be held for our nation.  For more information, Call 217-516-0393.

Seniors Coffee Time at Danville Public Library – (319 N. Vermilion, Danville) 9:30-10:30AM Seniors 60+ are invited to join us on Fridays in the 1st floor meeting room for games, crafts, conversations & of course, coffee.

Sleepy Creek Vineyards – (Located 3.5 miles south of Oakwood) Winery open 10AM-8PM And, Wieners & Wine," 5-8PM every Friday from April to October.  Sleepy Creek will provide a fire, hot dogs & the fixings!  Bring your lawn chairs & additional food if you like, but alcoholic beverages must be purchased through the Vineyard.  We have beer, wine, variety of soft drinks, as well as, cheeses, crackers & other snacks.  Seating & service is first come, first served with no reservations.
