Kennekuk Road Runners 32nd Annual Memorial Day 5K Run & Walk at VA Illiana Healthcare – (1900 E. The Darkhorse Theatre Company Auditions at the Fischer Theatre Sunday & Monday – (158 N. Main, Hoopeston) Frank Farrell returns for a special reading performance of his book “Forgotten Soldiers From Our Forgotten War: Letters from Korea 1951-1953”; 2PM & 4PM.  Tickets are $10, reserve by email at info@savethelorraine.com.  Books will be available for purchase following each performance.

The Little Lorraine Theater Presents “The Finest Hours” All Weekend – (324 E. Main, Hoopeston) Shows are: Friday 7PM; Saturday 4:30PM & 7:00PM; Sunday 7PM.  The Coast Guard makes a daring rescue attempt off the coast of Cape Cod after a pair of oil tankers are destroyed during a blizzard in 1952.  All movies are free will donation with all proceeds going to the Save the Lorraine Foundation.

Boat Ramp Concessions Open at Lake Vermilion

Giant Book Sale at Rabbitown Trade Center Friday & Saturday – (36 S. College St., Danville) Tons of books & music for sale; 8AM-1PM.

Danville Farmers Market – The outdoor market is held on the Danville Public Library lawn & adjacent parking lot featuring locally grown produce, home-baked goods, & homemade gift items; 8AM-1PM.  Library activities include music by Mel Hoaks & Kenny Flores, farm toy display, & an informational booth about CARA (Citizens for Animal Rescue & Adoption); 9AM-1PM.  The main market season will run Wednesdays & Saturdays until October 15.

DACC 10th Annual Car & Truck Show – (Student parking Lot, 2000 E.
