Revolutionary War Reenactment & Pioneer Craft Day at Forest Glen – Saturday & Sunday – (20301 E 900 North Rd, Westville) Saturday 10AM-5PM; Sunday 10AM-4PM. The Little Lorraine Theater Presents “God’s Not Dead - 2” - All Weekend – (324 E. Main, Hoopeston) Shows are: Friday 7PM; Saturday 4:30PM & 7:00PM; Sunday 2:00PM & 4:30PM.  A High school history teacher comes under fire for answering a student's question about Jesus.  Forced to stand trial to save her career, a young lawyer defends her in court, devising a powerful strategy to show the jury the historical significance of the classroom discussion.  All movies are a free will donation with all proceeds going to the Save the Lorraine Foundation.

Live Music at Gao Grotto – (2400 Denmark Rd., Danville) Live music on the patio featuring “Hoosier Daddy” aka Mike Russell; 4-7PM.

EAA Young Eagles Rally at Vermilion Regional Airport – This event provides free airplane rides for ages 8-18 years old; 7:30AM.  To sign up, call Tracey at 217-898-3424.

Danville Farmers Market – The outdoor market is held on the Danville Public Library lawn & adjacent parking lot featuring locally grown produce, home-baked goods, & homemade gift items; 8AM-1PM. Library activities: Brett Andrews will play piano & enjoy a sneak peek of DLO’s The Adams Family, 9AM-1PM.  The main market season will run Wednesdays & Saturdays until October 15.

Women’s Care Clinic “Walk For Life” – (1509 N. Bowman Ave., Danville) Check-in 8:30AM; Walk 9AM.  This year’s event includes a 5K Color Run, 2-mile Walk, & a Rocking Chair Challenge.  Register at www.danvillewcc.org/color, or at WCC 217-431-0987. 

North Fork Conservation Club Fishing Tournament – (North Fork Conservation Lake, Hoopeston) Check in 8AM; Ages 5-10 & Ages 11-15 Derby at 8:30AM-10:30AM;  Adults Check in before 11AM, Derby 11:30AM-5:30PM.  Kids 15 & younger fish for Free, Adults $10 entry fee with a prize of 50% of entries.  Trophies awarded for each age bracket in the kid’s derby.  All state license & regulations apply.

36th Annual Wild, Wild Wilderness Run at Kickapoo State Park – (10906 Kickapoo Park Rd, Oakwood) The Kennekuk Road Runners will host this 7.45 mile course with race day entries accepted from 8:30-9:30AM at a $25 entry fee; 10AM Race time.  The awards presentation & post-race party will be held at the registration area. Hooves of Hope 5K Friday & “Round Up” Saturday – (7757 US Route 136, Potomac) Friday event: 80’s themed 5K; 7:30PM.  Participants are encouraged to wear their craziest 80’s attire.  We will offer a “trot” for kids (12 & under) & the 5K for all ages.  Saturday events: A round-up is open to public & includes live music featuring the Nickel & Dime Band & the Marvin Lee Band; 3-7PM.  Race participants are encouraged to wear their race t-shirts & everyone is invited to a free meal, inflatables, games, face painting, & giveaways.  For more information, visit www.hooves-of-hope.net.

“Behind the Tombstone” Spring Hill Cemetery Walking Tours All Weekend – The Vermilion County Museum Society host guided walking tours with historical characters at Spring Hill Cemetery.  Friday Tours 6:00PM & 6:30PM; Saturday 10AM, 10:30AM, 11AM, 11:30AM, 1PM, 1:30PM, 2PM, 5:30PM & 6PM; Sunday 12:30PM every ½ hour with last tour at 3PM.  Parking will be available at back lot of YMCA with shuttle transport to cemetery.  Tickets are available at the Vermilion County Museum during regular museum hours, Tuesday – Sunday 10AM-5PM.
