Danville Light Opera Children’s Musical “Xanadu Jr.” at DACC Bremer Theater All Weekend – (2000 E. Main, Danville) Friday & Saturday 7PM; Sunday 2PM.  Follow the journey of a magical Greek muse who descends from Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California, on a quest to inspire a struggling artist to achieve the first Roller Disco.  But forbidden love causes jealous sisters to take advantage of the situation & chaos abounds!  Tickets are $8 Adult $5 Student – online at www.danvillelightopera.com or at the door. 

The Little Lorraine Theater Presents “Batman VS Superman-Dawn of Justice” All Weekend – (324 E. Main, Hoopeston) Shows are: Friday 7PM; Saturday 4 & 7PM; Sunday 2 & 5PM.  It’s been nearly 2 years since Superman’s colossal battle with Zod devastated the city of Metropolis.  The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry & helpless, including the crime fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne.  Convinced that Superman is now a threat to humanity, Batman embarks on a personal vendetta to end his reign on earth, while the conniving Lex Luther launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel.  All movies are free will donation with all proceeds going to the Save the Lorraine Foundation.

Live Music on the Patio at Gao Grotto – (2400 Denmark Rd., Danville) Featuring “Hoosier Daddy” aka Mike Russell; 4-7PM.  All are welcome to our public events!

Danville Farmers Market – The outdoor market is held on the Danville Public Library lawn & adjacent parking lot featuring locally grown produce, home-baked goods, & homemade gift items; 8AM-1PM.  The main market season will run Wednesdays & Saturdays until October 15.

Danville Public Library Summer Used Book Sale – Thursday – Saturday – (319 N. Vermilion St., Danville) Thursday 4:00-7:30PM; Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM; Saturday 9:00AM-2:00PM Held in the first floor meeting room this huge sale includes thousands of books for children & adults, collectible books, & audiovisual materials.  There will also be framed cross-stitch pieces available to purchase from the estate of Howard Rutan.

“Christmas is July – Recycled & New” at Westville’s Trinity United Church of Christ – (311 E. Moses Ave., Westville) Beautiful & unique Christmas items will be available; 9AM-3PM.  A lunch will be served from 11AM-2PM featuring a baked potato bar with lots of toppings, salads, desserts, & drinks.  Everything will be offered at a “must have” price. 

Danville Public Library “Air Guitar Battle” at the Hegeler Stage – Air guitar enthusiasts & aficionados are invited to show off their skills; 10AM-Noon.

Vermilion County War Museum New Hours – (307 N. Vermilion, Danville) New extended hours: Tuesday through Friday Noon–4PM; Saturday remains 10AM-4PM.  As a Blue Star Museum all active duty military & their families are admitted for Free, Memorial Day through Labor Day.

34th Annual Midwest Heritage Quilt Show at the Vermilion County Museum – (116 N. Gilbert, Danville) Museum hours are: Tuesday - Saturday 10AM-5PM.  Throughout the month of July visit the museum to view a juried show of quilted items.  Door fee for the show $3 adults; $1 children 13-17 years; 12 & under Free.

Free Concert “Glenn Kaiser: Live on the Lawn” at First Presbyterian Church – (100 N. Presence “Kickin’ It Country” Fundraiser at Kennekuk County Park –This 3rd Annual event features appetizers, beer sampling, a barbecue buffet, line dancing, mechanical bull riding, souvenir photos, & a live auction under a tent; 5:30-11:30PM.  Proceeds will go to the Presence USMC’s Women’s Health Center.  Tickets are $60 per person, or $500 table of 8.  A $20 ticket option to enjoy the entertainment & snacks is available for admission from 8:30-11:30PM.  Tickets are available by phone 217-442-5683 or at the Foundation office, 551 N. Vermilion County Victim Assistance 22nd Annual Golf Outing at Turtle Run Golf Club – (332 E.
