American Ethanol, Inc. assumes Option as one of ten proposed Illinois ethanol facilities

Vermilion Advantage, NFP, announced today that American Ethanol, Inc. (AEI) has assumed an Option held by Vermilion Advantage on a site on Danville’s east side as one of ten proposed ethanol facilities in the State of Illinois.   AEI is a company that is developing, constructing and acquiring ethanol and biodiesel facilities in the United States.  The company’s goal is to become a leader in the production and sale of ethanol and other renewable fuels, and to supply America’s growing renewable, high octane and clean-burning fuel requirements.  On June 26, 2006, American Ethanol announced it had signed a definitive agreement to merge with Marwich II, Ltd., a public company traded under the symbol:  (OTC BB: MWII.OB).

The company is currently in the engineering and environmental feasibility stage.   Assuming a favorable outcome, the company expects to enter into the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) permitting process with construction to follow.

AEI has a strategic relationship with founding shareholders, The Industrial Company (TIC), a subsidiary of TIC Holdings, Inc., a heavy industrial contractor with over $1.3 billion in annual revenues, and Delta-T, a leading ethanol process-engineering firm.

AEI owns two permitted ethanol plant sites in Nebraska which upon completion of construction will produce approximately 230 million gallons of ethanol.  They are currently permitting three additional production plant sites in Nebraska and two sites in Illinois.  Each site is being permitted for approximately 115 million gallons of annual ethanol production.  Negotiations are in process for multiple other sites in Illinois.
