April 3, 2006 Special News Release Danville, IL - Glaco Midwest, Inc. ("Glaco"), headquartered in Oskaloosa, Iowa, has engaged in the representation and distribution of valves, valve automation, process controls, instrumentation and related specialty products throughout the Midwestern and Midsouthern U.S. and for export internationally since 1973. Glaco has several exclusive distribution territories for their time-proven products, and the company will be opening a warehouse and office in Danville on May 1st. They are moving in product and preparing the location presently. Mary Glasscock, President and CEO of Glaco, decided to open in Danville last year. "Our main focus for the Midwest has largely been Iowa, Nebraska and northward, but in doing market research over the past year we have found there are more opportunities for growth in Illinois and Indiana with existing clients and solid potential for new clients. We scouted a great many locations along the Illinois and Indiana border, but Danville kept coming back as the most promising location regarding its proximity to major interstates, railways and other optimal factors." Glaco has significant experience serving the following industries: Corn/Seed/Plant-Based Milling; Animal Nutrition/Feed; Food/Dairy Processes; Pulp and Paper Processes; Paints/Lubricants; Biofuels/Ethanol; Pharmaceutical Processes; Petrochemical and Other Chemical Processes; Industrial and Municipal Waste Water and other general process markets. Glaco has a significant client base, including Cargill, JRS Pharma, MidAmerican Energy, DuPont, Ames Laboratories, Des Moines Water Works, Bunge, Sara Lee Foods, 3M, Heinz, Ethanol and Biofuels concerns and other companies related to the industrial and sanitary (i.e. dairy, potable water, and animal feed) process markets. "Glaco has also, since April of 2005, been certified as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) out of Chicago," says Mary Glasscock. "This will be of assistance in our efforts regarding the Illinois and Indiana region as it is an important designation for several corporations we do business with." The WBE designation is a difficult one to obtain, according to Glasscock, and the company must pass several criteria to receive the certification. Outside of the WBE certification, Glaco has developed and successfully executed sales and customer service strategies that have resulted in consistent growth and profitability throughout their 30-plue year history. Glaco represents a multi-level offering of leading industrial products with the strongest possible emphasis on superior customer service for our diverse customer base. Their company mission of Customer Focused ultimately promotes an integrated practice which builds beneficial relationships, enhancing their customers' efficiency and desire to get the right results. "We diligently work to maintain an excellent reputation with suppliers and customers," says Mary Glasscock, "and we are very excited to be opening in Danville in order to better expand our reach."
