Chamber Dollars

We at Vermilion Advantage know how important keeping local retail sales dollars is to our community.  To further our efforts to keep local dollars local, we started the Chamber Dollars program in 2003.

Each year the community response and support for this program grows. Chamber Dollars are currently accepted at more than 70 Vermilion County businesses year-round and even more during the holidays. We hope you will consider joining and becoming a participant in Chamber Dollars to make this an even more successful venture for the Vermilion County retail community in the future.

There is no participation fee for your business to accept Chamber Dollars– it is a benefit of Vermilion Advantage Membership. Just fill out the application and return it to Vermilion Advantage and you will receive a participation cling that can be displayed in your front entry and also inclusion on our participation list that goes out with every Chamber Dollars purchase (view this year's list as a PDF) or see our brochure.

You do not need to be a Vermilion Advantage member to purchase Chamber Dollars – anyone can purchase them. They make great year-round gifts and are especially popular during the holidays. To purchase Chamber Dollars, simply visit our office at 28 W. North Street, Danville, IL. Chamber Dollars are available in increments of $5 up to $25.

There are no fees involved in either the purchase or redemption of Chamber Dollars.

Chamber Dollars are Easy

Chamber Dollars work just like a check.  They are:

• Prepaid by the purchaser before being given to the recipient.
• Drawn off of a local bank account - cashiers accept them as check or cash.
• Free of risk, since the check is prepaid at purchase.  The dollars are guaranteed to be in the bank.
• Issued in increments of $25.00 or less.
• Purchased by local businesses and individuals to be spent exclusively at local Vermilion County businesses.
